What Is WeeBloom?

Are you a plant lover? Do you want sustainable plant food to feed your plant babies? Are you trying to boost the productivity of your inside and outside gardens?

WeeBloom is the future of regenerative fertilizer - made from recycled nutrients, offering a sustainable alternative to synthetic plant food.

But what exactly is WeeBloom, and why should you consider using it for your garden? Let’s dive in.

What Is WeeBloom?

WeeBloom is a slow-release, natural fertilizer upcycled from pee, because there are valuable nutrients such as Phosphorus, Nitrogen, and Potassium in there meant to return to the earth as part of the nutrient cycle.

WeeBloom is great for your plants because plants need phosphorus to grow strong. This powdered fertilizer is a source of phosphorus known as struvite, a  naturally occurring mineral formed when phosphorus, magnesium, and ammonium combine.

Unlike conventional fertilizers, which are energy intensive and come from geo-politically complex sources, WeeBloom is made from local, recycled sources of nutrients, so you can rest assured it’s the most responsible and loving way to take care of your plants.

The Science Behind Recycled Nutrients

To make WeeBloom Wasted* designed special potties that separate liquids (pee) and solids (poop) at the source. Then haulers bring the separated liquids back to our headquarters in Burlington, VT, for pasteurization to clean and remove contaminants. Our engineer mixes the pasteurized urine with magnesium to pull out phosphorus in the form of struvite. The remaining phosphorus-stripped urine is pumped into storage tanks used by our Research & Development team for studying, testing and developing new products. This closes the nutrient loop, helping to reduce pressure on already stressed wastewater treatment centers while turning waste into a valuable resource for gardens and farms.

Why Choose WeeBloom Over Traditional Fertilizers?

  1. Effective for Plants & Soil Health: Phosphorus is a key ingredient to support plant health. It supports the establishment of root structure, boosts growth by increasing nutrient uptake, and enhances soil microbiome by promoting beneficial bacteria and fungi. This fertilizer will do wonders for your plants, indoor and outdoor!

  2. Slow-Release Formula: Unlike synthetic fertilizers, which deliver a quick nutrient boost but fade quickly, WeeBloom gradually releases phosphorus and other essential minerals over time, supporting long-term plant health. As a result, you only have to use WeeBloom once or twice a year, instead of weekly or monthly like other conventional fertilizers.

  3. Eco-Friendly: Made from recycled nutrients, closing the loop on the nutrient cycle and reducing the load on regional wastewater treatment centers. This product is less energy intensive to make than most conventional fertilizers, which some calculate account for 1% of global green-house-gas emissions.

  4. Renewable Phosphorus: Some geologists project we will meet peak phosphorus within the century, meaning we are using up naturally occurring deposits of phosphorus which we rely on for food production and security. This product reduces our dependence on mined phosphorus and chemical-based fertilizers, and builds nutrient sovereignty.

  5. Supports Pollinators: Chemical fertilizers can harm pollinators like bees and butterflies. WeeBloom’s organic nature makes it a better choice for maintaining a thriving, eco-friendly gardens.
